Anthony established FCR in 1985. He counsels clients throughout the Asia-Pacific region on communication strategy, investor relations, corporate reputation, and issues and crisis management. Previously, he operated a media consultancy which represented the Financial Times and other leading financial publications in Australia, after spending three years as chief executive of an international trade finance company. Earlier, he was the director responsible for international educational publishing and marketing for the Macmillan Publishing Group, with which he worked for 12 years. In this role he was a director of companies in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Caribbean. Anthony was educated at Grenoble University and is a fellow of the Public Relations Institute of Australia. He is frequently invited to present papers on corporate and investor communication at seminars and conferences.
Jeremy leads FCR’s work across a wide range of corporate, financial and professional services, and maritime industry clients. He has more than 20 years’ experience in corporate affairs and has held senior communication roles in consultancies and large financial services organisations in Australia, Asia and the Middle East. His clients have included Singapore Airlines, Mastercard, Microsoft and Bank of America. Earlier in his career he worked as a senior political journalist and government press secretary. Jeremy has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Canterbury University, a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration from Massey University and a Certificate in Journalism.
Brian, a director of FCR since 1987, has almost 40 years’ experience in corporate and financial communication as a public relations consultant, and previously as a senior finance journalist and columnist with The Australian and Sunday Telegraph. He has managed media and investor relations, corporate reputation and issues management projects for companies in many industry sectors, particularly financial services, property and resources. Brian is a past NSW president of the Public Relations Institute of Australia and in 2016 was elected a life fellow of the institute.
Ashley has more than 20 years of experience providing strategic communication counsel on reputation management, mergers and acquisitions, IPOs, media relations and crisis management to clients in a wide range of sectors. Prior to joining FCR in 2004 from a leading public relations agency, he worked with the Olympic Co‑ordination Authority and the Institution of Engineers, Australia. Ashley was educated at Sydney University and has completed business courses at the Australian Graduate School of Management and Finsia’s masters of applied finance.
Daniel specialises in financial and investor communication following 13 years’ experience of financial journalism and events. He joined FCR after five years at EQDerivatives, initially as managing editor based in New York and later in Sydney as head of content leading growth in the Asia Pacific region. In these roles, he created and launched a successful magazine and website read by institutional investors, asset managers and sell-side banks around the world, led a team of international journalists and wrote articles on a wide range of topics including equity derivatives and ETFs. Earlier, he spent five years as a senior journalist with Euromoney Institutional Investor covering derivatives, structured finance and financial market regulation based in Hong Kong, New York and London. This followed spells as a journalist for Macquarie Radio Network and Lloyd’s List Daily Commercial News in Sydney. Daniel has a Bachelor of Communication, Journalism and Politics from the University of Canberra.
Media Relations Manager
Antonino is a member of FCR’s financial services communication team. He joined FCR in early 2012 as an intern and soon afterwards was appointed to a full-time position, assisting with corporate and financial services communication projects, including crisis management. He was promoted to an account manager in 2015, and his role today includes organising media interviews and briefings, media monitoring, assisting with media training and providing analytical reports to clients. He has a Bachelor of Marketing and Public Relations from the University of Notre Dame.
Harrison joined FCR’s financial practice from the Financial Standard where he worked as a journalist for more than two years and as associate editor of The Journal of Superannuation Management. Previously, he was a regular contributor to a major telecommunications company’s blog and was an intern with a multinational communication consultancy. Harrison has a Bachelor of Media (PR and Advertising) from the University of New South Wales, where social media was one of his areas of focus.
Creative Services Manager
Mark has over 30 years’ experience in corporate design and production. Before joining FCR, he was an integral member of Wellcom’s design studio for over three years, working at Westpac’s head office. This role included design requirements for all Westpac brands. He has also worked on projects for many financial and insurance companies. Mark has strong organisational skills and great attention to detail, as well as in-depth knowledge of production technology. He has extensive experience of design, layout, typography and photography for prospectuses, takeover documents, annual reports, corporate brochures, product disclosure statements, magazines, retail catalogues and point-of-sale material.
Jo has 25 years’ experience as a graphic designer in Sydney and London, managing a wide range of corporate projects, including annual reports, other collateral, websites and corporate identities, for multi-national and national organisations. She has well developed creative skills and adopts a strategic approach to all projects. Since joining FCR, Jo has been responsible for our graphic design, including annual reports, prospectuses, investor presentations and websites. She has a Bachelors degree in Graphic Design from the University of South Australia.
Alexandra (Ali) Cain
Consultant Journalist (Media Training)
Ali joined FCR in 1998 as a financial communication consultant, before becoming a financial journalist, and today she assists FCR with media skills training. She writes regularly for the Australian Financial Review, the Sydney Morning Herald and Asset magazine and is editor of Finsia’s inFinance magazine. She has written for CFO, CEO magazine (UK and US), Finance Director Europe (UK) and Pensions and Investments (US). She has recorded numerous video interviews on finance topics for Yahoo!7 and coauthored two business books with David Koch. Ali holds a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Sydney and a Master of Arts in Communication Management from UTS.
Elizabeth provides administrative support to the consultancy team. Before joining FCR, she spent three years in the legal department of BNP Paribas, following 11 years with two ASX-listed resources companies. Elizabeth has undertaken a course in editing and proofreading at the University of Sydney Centre for Continuing Education and is currently studying for a Bachelor of Business/Bachelor of Information Technology at Charles Sturt University.
