FCR is Australia's leader in financial communication. Our knowledge of investment markets, insurance and other financial services is unparalleled among communication consultancies. We understand what motivates people when choosing a financial product and have excellent media contacts to communicate your messages to the right people. We are experts at marketing complex financial products and services.
For over 23 years we have assisted scores of financial services businesses to build their brands and corporate reputations, and to promote and differentiate their products and services. This experience enables us to add significant value to marketing and communication programs.
In 2007 and 2008, we have raised awareness of a range of financial products including Barclays Global Investors’ exchange traded funds, iShares, and promoted the entry of US-based asset manager, Janus Capital, and its strategies to the Australian market. We have also raised the media profile of Bibby Financial Services and helped China Construction Bank to launch its Australian office.
We provide a full range of services from strategy development and counsel, through media and investor relations, to design and production of financial marketing material such as brochures, newsletters, direct marketing literature, advertisements and websites. We have extensive experience of the following sectors:
- Funds management
- Investment advisory
- Banking/investment banking
- Stockbroking
- Insurance
- Consumer finance
- Property development and investment
- Corporate and commercial finance
- Venture capital
- Financial industry associations
- Financial recruitment and training
- Equities and futures markets
- Regulation
Our specialisation in financial communication has led to our involvement in many of the developments in the Australian financial marketplace over the past two decades. These have included the introduction of CFDs, CDO-based retail investment products and the first locally-managed index funds, as well as the world’s first exchange traded commodity.
In the past, we have handled communication for the first stockbroker to list on the ASX, developed a corporate education campaign for ASIC’s introduction of company numbers, and worked with FANMAC in introducing mortgage securitisation to Australia. We also assisted the ASX when it moved stockmarket trading to a new computer system and the Sydney Futures Exchange in its move from floor to screen-based trading.
When unlisted property trusts faced a liquidity crisis we devised a successful communication program for one of the largest, Growth Equities Mutual, to convince its conservative unitholders to approve a change of structure and an ASX listing. When the leading insurance market, Lloyd’s, faced a crisis due to record losses we arranged an Australian roadshow to communicate with Australian underwriters and media. Lloyd's regarded our Australian activity as a model for its efforts in other markets. |
