Anthony established FCR in 1985. He counsels clients throughout the Asia-Pacific region on communication strategy, investor relations, corporate reputation, and issues and crisis management. Previously, he operated a media consultancy which represented the Financial Times and other leading financial publications in Australia, after spending three years as chief executive of an international trade finance company. Earlier, he was the director responsible for international educational publishing and marketing for the Macmillan Publishing Group, with which he worked for 12 years. In this role he was a director of companies in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Caribbean. Anthony was educated at Grenoble University and is a fellow of the Public Relations Institute of Australia. He is frequently invited to present papers on corporate and investor communication at seminars and conferences.
Jeremy leads FCR’s financial and professional services practice. He joined FCR from another Sydney-based financial communication agency where he was director, corporate affairs. Prior to this Jeremy held a range of senior communication roles in consultancies and large financial services organisations in Australia, Asia and the Middle East. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Canterbury University, a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration from Massey University and a Certificate in Journalism.
Ashley has 15 years’ experience in M&A, investor relations and media relations. During this time, he has developed an extensive network of financial and media contacts across a broad range of business disciplines. He joined FCR in 2004 from a leading public relations agency, and worked previously with the Olympic Co‑ordination Authority and the Institution of Engineers, Australia. Ashley was educated at Sydney University and has completed business courses at the Australian Graduate School of Management and Finsia’s masters of applied finance.
Brian, a director of FCR since 1987, has almost 40 years’ experience in corporate and financial communication as a public relations consultant, and previously as a senior finance journalist and columnist with The Australian and Sunday Telegraph. He has managed media and investor relations, corporate reputation and issues management projects for companies in many industry sectors, particularly financial services, property and resources. Brian is a past NSW president of the Public Relations Institute of Australia and in 2016 was elected a life fellow of the institute.
Antonino is a member of FCR’s financial services communication team. He joined FCR in early 2012 as an intern and soon afterwards was appointed to a full-time position, assisting with corporate and financial services communication projects, including crisis management. He was promoted to an account manager in 2015, and his role today includes organising media interviews and briefings, media monitoring, assisting with media training and providing analytical reports to clients. He has a Bachelor of Marketing and Public Relations from the University of Notre Dame.
Client Relationship Manager
Jess has a background in private equity, marketing and investment research. Prior to FCR, she headed marketing and business development for the Australasian office of the investment research business Edison Group, and worked as a business analyst at First Quay Capital where she developed strong relationships in the investment banking and corporate communities. She holds a Masters of Business Law from the University of Sydney and a Bachelor of Commerce and Law from Rhodes University, South Africa.
Michael is a multi-channel business journalist and communication strategist with strong analytical and copywriting skills and a thorough knowledge of wealth management, credit, mortgage, insurance and capital market products. Before joining FCR, he was senior writer and producer at Kaplan Professional Education for four and a half years, and previously was a journalist with The Sunday Telegraph, ACP Magazines and The Nation (Thailand). He has also worked with the Sydney Futures Exchange, Citigroup Investment Research and in a research role at Nine Network. Michael has a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and a Master of Arts in Journalism from UTS and a Certificate in Financial Markets from the Securities Institute of Australia. He recently completed a course in digital marketing at General Assembly.
Sara has over 15 years’ experience providing investor relations and financial PR consultancy services to listed companies both in Sydney and London, predominantly as a technology specialist. Prior to joining FCR, she was head of investor relations at ASX-listed MYOB. In London, she was a partner at a leading investor relations consultancy advising a portfolio of listed TMT clients. Prior to moving into investor relations, she worked as a derivatives trader at ABN Amro London. She has a degree in Economics from the University of Sydney, a Masters in Creative Writing from the University of Macquarie and is a fellow of AIRA.
Senior Account Executive
Kathryn supports FCR’s investor relations team, assisting with investor and media communication, event management and research. Before joining FCR, she worked for event management agencies, specialising in the development of digital and traditional media strategies. Kathryn has a BA in Communication (Public Relations) from the University of Technology Sydney, and she is enrolled in the Graduate Certificate of Finance at Macquarie Applied Finance Centre.
Creative Services Manager
Mark has over 30 years’ experience in corporate design and production. Before joining FCR, he was an integral member of Wellcom’s design studio for over three years, working at Westpac’s head office. This role included design requirements for all Westpac brands. He has also worked on projects for many financial and insurance companies. Mark has strong organisational skills and great attention to detail, as well as in-depth knowledge of production technology. He has extensive experience of design, layout, typography and photography for prospectuses, takeover documents, annual reports, corporate brochures, product disclosure statements, magazines, retail catalogues and point-of-sale material.
Jo has 25 years’ experience as a graphic designer in Sydney and London, managing a wide range of corporate projects, including annual reports, other collateral, websites and corporate identities, for multi-national and national organisations. She has well developed creative skills and adopts a strategic approach to all projects. Since joining FCR, Jo has been responsible for our graphic design, including annual reports, prospectuses, investor presentations and websites. She has a Bachelors degree in Graphic Design from the University of South Australia.
Vessa has more than 30 years’ experience in financial services, corporate and government affairs, focused on complex stakeholder communication. Her strong network among business, financial and political media has been built over many years, acting for high profile organisations under a media, regulatory or judicial spotlight. Vessa founded one of Australia’s first financial communication consultancies, with offices in Sydney and Hong Kong. Subsequently, she spent 16 years as Head of Corporate Affairs and Communications for Deloitte Australia, where she helped to manage a wide range of financial and corporate issues before returning to consulting with FCR. She has a Bachelor of Economics from Sydney University.
Alexandra (Ali) Cain
Consultant Journalist (Media Training)
Ali joined FCR in 1998 as a financial communication consultant, before becoming a financial journalist, and today she assists FCR with media skills training. She writes regularly for the Australian Financial Review, the Sydney Morning Herald and Asset magazine and is editor of Finsia’s inFinance magazine. She has written for CFO, CEO magazine (UK and US), Finance Director Europe (UK) and Pensions and Investments (US). She has recorded numerous video interviews on finance topics for Yahoo!7 and coauthored two business books with David Koch. Ali holds a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Sydney and a Master of Arts in Communication Management from UTS.
Administration and Finance Manager
Kim is responsible for all aspects of the company’s administration, finance and accounts. She joined FCR in 1991 from a leading national public relations company, where she was accounts manager, and previously worked in London as an assistant accountant for an advertising agency and a publishing company and as audit assistant for a firm of chartered accountants. She has a Higher National Diploma in Business Studies from the UK.
Lina is responsible for FCR’s day-to-day accounting and also assists with administrative matters. She joined the company in 1997 after accounting roles for a range of businesses in Sydney and Indonesia. Lina has an Associate Diploma of Accounting from Sydney Institute of Technology.
Elizabeth provides administrative support to the consultancy team. Before joining FCR, she spent three years in the legal department of BNP Paribas, following 11 years with two ASX-listed resources companies. Elizabeth has undertaken a course in editing and proofreading at the University of Sydney Centre for Continuing Education and is currently studying for a Bachelor of Business/Bachelor of Information Technology at Charles Sturt University.
